publications.  The Annual Update is always an exciting event with accomplished speakers providing substantive legislative updates and stimulating discussions about a wide range of environmental and land use law issues.

The event takes place August 9-11, 2012 and will feature many presentations on important and innovative topics within the field of environmental and land use law.  Notable presentations include Sustainable Railroad Development, Dismantling State Oversight of Local Land Use Decisions – Has the Pendulum Swung too Far? and Whose Beach is it Anyway?  The three-day event will also include an EcoWalk and surfing lessons at the stunning Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa.

The Annual Update is also a time to recognize and award distinguished achievements throughout the field of environmental and land use law.  With demonstrated involvement and strong commitment to the many environmental issues Florida’s communities face, Robert N. Hartsell received the 2010 ELULS Public Interest Lawyer of the Year award and will be delighted to attend and support this year’s honorable recipients.
